LIGHT IT BLUE TO HONOUR FRONTLINERS

The Federal Territories Ministry will kick off its Light It Blue programme on April 30 in a show of appreciation for the efforts of frontliners in battling the Covid-19 outbreak. Government buildings, commercial buildings and certain roads in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan will be lit up with blue lights from 10.30pm to 1am every day, until May 3, 2020. In a statement, Federal Territory Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa said the aim was to thank the frontliners, whether in the public or private sector, for their sacrifice in combating the epidemic. The “Light it Blue” campaign was held in the federal territories to show appreciation to healthcare workers on Labour Day. Blue is the colour of the uniforrms of medical professionals. photo adib rawi yahya
